2024 Overseas Internship at Chiba University's Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences

Two of 6th-year students in the Industrial Pharmacy Track of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY) undertook their overseas professional internship at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chiba University, Japan. The students included the followings.

1) Ms. Jinjuta Prakorbnobpakao was accepted to join the Laboratory of Forensic Toxicology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yasumitsu Ogra. Her training period was from April 29, 2024, to June 7, 2024. She also received the 2024 Mahidol University Internship Scholarship to pursue their professional internship in Japan.

2) Ms. Thanyatorn Khaobor was accepted to join the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Technology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kunikazu Moribe. Her training period was from April 29, 2024, to July 19, 2024.

The overseas internship program was determined to provide the 6th-year students with global knowledge, professional practices, research and laboratory practices, and international exposure in Japan’s environment and academic atmosphere where they could gain internationally educational and cultural experiences in Asian country resulting in increasing MUPY students’ capacity as well as enhancing MUPY's international visibility.

Furthermore, this overseas internship program strengthened a strong relationship between MUPY and the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyushu University. It also corresponded to the Faculty of Pharmacy's Mission of producing graduates with equivalent quality to leading pharmacy institutions in Asia, equipped with morality and competency to serve the societal need. It also responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
