On March 18, 2024, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m., the International Relations Unit of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY) organized the research project presentation as well we the exit presentation delivered by two exchange students from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyushu University, Japan. Having been arranged at Room 405, the presentations were physically attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew, the Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jiraphun Jittikoon, Chair of the Department of Biochemistry, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pakatip Ruenraroengsak and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanvisa Udomsinprasert.
This year, Kyushu University’s School of Pharmaceutical Sciences had sent two undergraduate students to carry out their international internship program in pharmaceutical sciences research at MUPY starting from February 15, 2024, to March 18, 2024. Two Kyushu students had joined their advisors' research laboratories and undertook their research project under an intensive supervision of their MUPY advisors as the details shown below.
1) Mr. Tomoki OTA joined the laboratory in Pharmaceutics field, and presented his research work entitled "Intracellular distribution of nanoparticle-based gene/drug delivery system for human lung regeneration" which was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pakatip Ruenraroengsak.
2 Ms. Riko KAWABE joined the laboratory in Biochemistry field, and presented her research work entitled "LINE-1 methylation as a diagnostic biomarker or non-small cell lung cancer" which was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wanvisa Udomsinprasert.
After the research presentation, the exit presentation of these exchange students was also held to gain their feedbacks in terms of academic and non-academic aspects, followed by the certificate awarding given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Usa Chaikledkaew and their advisors to mark the completion of their overseas internship program at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University. Moreover, this activity responded to the SDG’s Goal 4th: Reduce inequality within and among countries and Goal 17th: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
