On February 5, 2024, from 10.00 a.m. - 11.30 a.m., Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, joined as an invited speaker in the ’2024 Chiba University’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences Online Study Abroad Program’ arranged via the Zoom Meeting platform. He delivered a special lecture entitled "Thailand Healthcare and Pharmacy System" to more than 30 Japanese pharmacy students of Chiba University’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This online activity was virtually hosted by Sophia Global Education and Discovery Co., Ltd. (Sophia GED).

This program aimed to provide an opportunity for Chiba University’s pharmacy students to learn more about Thailand’s public healthcare and its pharmacy system. It also focused on those systems of the countries in Southeast Asia, resulting in promoting an exchange of learning between Japanese students and foreign scholars from partner universities. This activity also strengthened a strong relationship between MUPY and Chiba University’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Furthermore, this online session responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
