On May 11, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, joined as a plenary speaker in the 2023 International Conference of the Association of Indonesian Pharmacy Higher Education (Asosiasi Pendidikan Tinggi Farmasi Indonesia). The conference was physically held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia during May 11-12, 2023.
Regarding this, Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan joined the conference via the Zoom Meeting platform and presented an advancement of Thailand's pharmacy education, as the President of the Pharmacy Education Consortium of Thailand (PECT). His presentation focused on the quality assurance of graduates and Thailand's pharmacist license examination process. Furthermore, the other plenary speaker was Prof. Tanja Fens from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Her lecture involved using gamification to enhance the efficiency of teaching and learning methods in the Netherlands.
This activity also strengthened a strong relationship between MUPY and Indonesian higher education institutions. Furthermore, this online session responded to SDG’s Goal 4: Quality Education to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries, and Goal 17: Partnership for the Goals to strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
