| บทคัดย่อ: การศึกษาครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทำการศึกษาพืชสมุนไพรที่สามารถไล่แมลงและป้องกันยุงกัดได้ 3 ชนิด ได้แก่ มะกรูด (Citrus hystrix DC.), ว่านน้ำ (Acorus calamus Linn.), ขิง (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) โดยใช้น้ำมันหอมระเหยที่กลั่นจากสมุนไพรดังกล่าวมาพัฒนาเป็นตำรับ เพื่อให้มีประสิทธิภาพออกฤทธิ์ไล่ยุงได้นาน ในการทดสอบกับอาสาสมัครโดยวิธีมาตรฐานของสำนักงานมาตรฐานผลิตภัณฑ์อุตสาหกรรม (สมอ.) กระทรวงอุตสาหกรรม พบว่าน้ำมันว่านน้ำมีประสิทธิภาพในการไล่และป้องกันยุงกัดได้นานที่สุดเป็นเวลา 4.0 ชม. น้ำมันมะกรูดและน้ำมันขิงสามารถไล่ยุงได้นาน 1 ชม. 35 นาที และ 1.0 ชม. ตามลำดับ ตำรับยาทากันยุงที่มีน้ำมันว่านน้ำความเข้มข้น 50%w/w และ 25%w/w ใน mineral oil สามารถไล่ยุงได้นาน 1 ชม. 10 นาที และ 40 นาทีตามลำดับ สำหรับยาทากันยุงที่มีน้ำมันมะกรูดความเข้มข้น 50%w/w และ 25%w/w ใน mineral oil สามารถไล่ยุงได้นาน 1.0 ชม. และ 30 นาทีตามลำดับ สำหรับน้ำมันขิงพบว่าทำให้เกิดการระคายเคืองต่อผิวหนังโดยทำให้ผิวหนังแสบร้อน ควรจะนำมาพัฒนาเพื่อลดความระคายเคืองต่อผิวหนังต่อไป |
| abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate three medicinal plants; Citrus hystrix DC., Acorus calamus Linn., Zingiber officinale Rosc., for their insects and mosquitoes repellent activities. The extracted essential oils were used to develope long acting repellent preparations. The efficacy and the duration of effectiveness were tested by standard method of The Thai Industrial Standards Institute(TISI), Ministry of Industry, in healthy volunteers. It was found that the duration of these repellents were in the following orders, Calamus root oil 4.0 hrs, Leech lime oil and Ginger oil 1 hr 35 min and 1.0 hr, respectively For the preparations with decreasing concentrations of Calamus root oil to concentration 50% w/w and 25% w/w in mineral oil, their duration of effectiveness were 1 hr 10 min, and 40 min, respectively. The preparations of Leech lime oil at concentration 50% w/w and 25% w/w in mineral oil had effective duration times for 1.0 hr, and 30 min, respectively. Skin irritation was found with essential oil of Zingiber officinale Rosc., this suggested that further development should be made. |
