| บทคัดย่อ: การศึกษาในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาแชมพูสมุนไพรที่ใช้กับสัตว์เลี้ยงที่ให้ความพึงพอใจกับผู้เลี้ยงและมีคุณสมบัติในการกำจัดเห็บ สมุนไพรที่นำมาศึกษาได้แก่ รากหนอนตายอยาก (Stemona tuberosa Lour.) เมล็ดสะเดาบ้าน (Azadirachta indica A. Juss. var. siamesis valeton) เมล็ดน้อยหน่า (Annona squamosa Linn.) และน้ำมันตะไคร้หอม (Cymbopogon nardus Rendle) สมุนไพร 3 ชนิดแรกนำมาสกัดด้วยแอลกอฮอล์ความเข้มข้นต่างๆกัน เมื่อนำสารสกัดหยาบของสมุนไพรทั้ง 3 ชนิดและน้ำมันตะไคร้หอมมาทดสอบฤทธิ์ในการฆ่าเห็บในหลอดทดลอง พบว่าสารสกัดทั้ง 4 ชนิดสามารถฆ่าเห็บได้หมดภายใน 1 ชั่วโมงโดยสารสกัดหนอนตายอยากมีประสิทธิภาพในการฆ่าเห็บมากที่สุด(ใช้เวลา 30-40 นาที) จึงเลือกสารสกัดหนอนตายอยากมาผสมในแชมพูพื้นที่ความเข้มข้น 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%และ 10%โดยน้ำหนัก นำแชมพูสมุนไพรดังกล่าวไปทดสอบฤทธิ์ในการฆ่าเห็บในหลอดทดลอง พบว่าแชมพูที่มีความเข้มข้น 10%โดยน้ำหนักมีประสิทธิภาพในการฆ่าเห็บมากที่สุด จากการประเมินความคงตัวทางกายภาพของแชมพูสมุนไพรทั้ง 5 ความเข้มข้นเป็นเวลา 1 เดือนที่อุณหภูมิห้องและที่ 45 องศาเซลเซียล พบว่าสีและความหนืดของแชมพูทุกความเข้มข้นเพิ่มขึ้นเล็กน้อยทั้งที่เก็บที่อุณหภูมิห้องและที่ 45 องศาเซลเซียล จึงคัดเลือกแชมพู 3 ความเข้มข้น (2%, 6%, 10% โดยน้ำหนัก)นำมาทดสอบกับสุนัข 30 ตัวเพื่อประเมินความพึงพอใจของผู้เลี้ยง ผลการทดลองพบว่าแชมพูทั้ง 3 ชนิดผู้เลี้ยงมีความพึงพอใจอยู่ในระดับปานกลางถึงมาก |
| abstract: The objective of this project is to study pet herbal shampoo which give host a maximum contentment and killing mite activity. Stemona tuberosa Lour. roots, Azadirachta indica A. Juss. var. siamesis valeton seeds, Annona squamosa Linn. seeds and Citronella oil (Cymbopogon nardus Rendle) were used in this study. All samples except citronella oil were extracts with several concentration of alcohol – aqueous mixture. The crude extracts and citronella oil were tested in vitro for mite killing activity. It was found that all 4 samples could kill mites within 1 hour while stemona extract showed the best activity (30 – 40 min.) . Thus, stemona extract was chosen for mixing in shampoo base to make herbal shampoo at concentration of 2, 4, 6, 8,10%w/w. These formulations were tested in vitro for mite killing and found that 10%w/w formula gave the best action. From 1 month stability test at room temperature and at 45 ๐C, all formulations showed small increasing in color and viscosity. So, the formulae with 2, 6 and 10%w/w were chosen to treat with 30 dogs for host’s contentment and found that they gave fair to good level of satisfaction. |
