abstract:
The formulation of antiaging cream was developed by incorporated 5 % Phytovityl® as and active ingredient to o/w cream base , pH 6.0 - 6.5. Phytovityl is an active fraction of exclusively plant origin , prepared from corn seeds. The appearance 0f antiaging cream was tested as following : the physical stability by freeze and thaw cycle , the total nitrogen by Kjeldahl method. It was found that the stabilitywas accepable , the appearance was good as spreadable and good absorbance. Patch test was done in 10 volunteers and was found that no allergic reaction occurred. The effectiveness of antiaging cream was test in 12 volunteers women with age over 40 years for 40 days and double blind technique was used. Multimicro sensor was used to detect the differance between the control ( cream base only ) and the antiaging cream. It was found that antiwrinkle efficacy was among 83.33 % of volunteers while 100 % of them had better moisture looking skin. The maximum efficacy was found after 30 days of the application. A set of questionaire was used to measture the satisfaction degree of the users. The collected data showed that 79 % of the volunteers had high satisfaction , 19 % moderate and 2 % less satisfaction with the appearance of the cream. 88 % of volunteers reported that the maximum effect in moisturizing and antiwrinkle were in 30 days , which was related to the test by Multimicro sensor method.
