• Cef-3 คือยา ceftriaxone เป็นยา antibacterial มีข้อบ่งใช้หลายกรณี เช่น bacterial endocarditis, bacterial musculoskeletal infection, infection of skin or subcutaneous tissue, infectious disease of abdomen, lower respiratory tract infection, postoperative infection prophylaxis, septicemia และ urinary tract infectious disease
• กรณีบริหารยา ceftriaxone แบบ IV bolus ต้องฉีดยาช้าๆ อย่างน้อย 3-5 นาที หากบริหารแบบ IV infusion ต้องเจือจางยา ceftriaxone ด้วย D-5-W หรือ 0.9% NSS ความเข้มข้นระหว่าง 10-40 mg/mL และ ใช้เวลาให้ยาประมาณ 30 นาที
• หลังจากบริหารยาควรติดตามการเกิด local reaction เช่น phlebitis หรือปฏิกิริยาการแพ้ยา เช่น การเกิดผื่น บวม อาการหายใจไม่สะดวก อาการไม่พึงประสงค์อื่นๆ ของ ceftriaxone เช่น diarrhea, nausea, eosinophilia, leukopenia, elevation of liver enzyme, abdominal pain
