Mydoclam มีตัวยาสำคัญ คือ tolperisone ซึ่งเป็นยาคลายกล้ามเนื้อ ใช้สำหรับลดอาการเกร็งหรือหดเกร็งของกล้ามเนื้อ ส่วน diclofenac เป็นยาต้านการอักเสบที่ไม่ใช่สเตียรอยด์ (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, NSAIDs) ใช้บรรเทาอาการปวดและอักเสบ โดยออกฤทธิ์ยับยั้งเอนไซม์ cyclooxygenases ส่งผลให้การสร้าง prostaglandins ซึ่งเกี่ยวข้องกับการอักเสบและความปวดลดลง โดยทั่วไปยาทั้งคู่มักใช้ร่วมกันในผู้ป่วยที่มีอาการปวดร่วมกับกล้ามเนื้อเกร็ง อย่างไรก็ตาม diclofenac อาจระคายเคืองกระเพาะอาหาร เพิ่มความเสี่ยงเลือดออก หรือมีผลต่อไตได้ในบางราย ส่วน tolperisone อาจทำให้เวียนศีรษะ คลื่นไส้ หรืออ่อนเพลียได้ หากมีโรคประจำตัว หรือใช้ยาอื่นร่วมหลายชนิด ควรปรึกษาแพทย์หรือเภสัชกรก่อนใช้
